Turnkey fiber-optic cable manufacturing plants

For operators, governments and investors who want to make optical cable in their own country, ZeroLine plans and delivers the plant: secondary coating, stranding, sheathing, armouring, drop-cable and patch-cord lines and a test lab. Process know-how and long-term fiber supply come from Optics Valley, the world’s largest base for optical fiber and cable.

How it runs

How a plant project runs

  1. 01

    Market and mix

Which cables your market buys, in what volumes, and which to make first.

    Weeks 1–4

  2. 02

    Plant design

Line list, layout, utilities, staffing, raw-material plan and a priced proposal.

    Weeks 4–10

  3. 03

    Build and acceptance

Lines built and run in China with your engineers present for acceptance.

    Typically 4–7 months

  4. 04

    Training

Your process and quality team trains on running lines in Optics Valley.

    2–6 weeks, in parallel

  5. 05

    Install and start up

Installation, first production, type tests and ramp-up support on site.

    Typically 2–4 months

All project types
Do we need to draw our own fiber?

No. Most new cable plants buy fiber on reels, then color it, put it into tubes and make cable from it. Preform and fiber drawing is a much larger investment that few markets need at the start. We can supply fiber from Optics Valley under a long-term contract.

Which cables should a new plant make first?

Usually the ones your operators buy most and import today: drop cable, duct cable and ADSS. We size the first lines to that demand and leave space to add more.

How long until first production?

For a plant in an existing building, typically 9 to 14 months from contract to first cable, depending on the line mix and site works.

Who trains our team?

Engineers from cable plants in Optics Valley train your process and quality staff on running lines in Wuhan, then support start-up on your site.
