Payment terms and trade finance for equipment from China

A large order should not mean a large risk. We work with letters of credit, payment milestones tied to factory acceptance and commissioning, and, subject to credit approval, deferred payment terms backed by export credit insurance from Sinosure, China’s state export credit insurer. You pay against progress you can see.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What is a typical payment schedule for a production line?

For example: a deposit at order, the main payment after factory acceptance and before shipping, and a retention after commissioning on your site. The split is agreed per project.

Can we pay after the equipment arrives?

Yes, with deferred terms backed by Sinosure export credit insurance, subject to credit approval of your company. Otherwise a usance letter of credit is the usual route.

What is Sinosure?

China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, China’s state export credit insurer. Its cover lets exporters offer credit terms to approved overseas buyers.
