Fiber networks, storage and workshops for Africa
Buyers in Africa come to us for three jobs: fiber networks, storage that replaces diesel, and workshops. Each country has its own pre-shipment paperwork: SONCAP for Nigeria, PVoC certificates for Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia, GOEIC registration and ACI for Egypt, an NRCS Letter of Authority for South Africa. We prepare it with the order, so the container clears on arrival.
- Nigeria's Project BRIDGE fiber backbone, build starting in 2026
- 90,000 km
- Solar expected in Africa in 2026; batteries from China now outsell panels by value
- 17 GW
- Shanghai to Mombasa, Durban or Lagos by sea
- 20–35 days
- Grid in most African markets (Kenya 240 V)
- 230 V 50 Hz

How it runs
How an African project runs
- 01
BOM or brief
Your bill of materials, tender or site data, and the port of entry.
Day 1
- 02
Quote and certificate plan
Price, alternatives that save money, and the certificate route for your country.
Typically 3–7 working days
- 03
Production and inspection
Factory tests and our pre-shipment inspection; the inspection body for SONCAP or PVoC visits at the same time.
- 04
Shipping and clearance
Documents sent ahead so your agent can clear on arrival.
- 05
Training and support
Crew and operator training by video or on site; parts from stock.
Services

FAQ
Questions buyers ask
Which certificates do I need to import equipment into Nigeria?
SONCAP: a Product Certificate for the product (valid for one shipment or for a year, depending on the route) and a SONCAP Certificate for each shipment, issued by an accredited body after inspection in China. We arrange the inspection during production.
What is PVoC and which countries use it?
Pre-Export Verification of Conformity: an accredited body checks the goods against the importing country’s standards before shipping and issues a certificate of conformity. Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia use it, among others. Without the certificate, goods can be refused or fined on arrival.
Can you supply FTTH materials for an ISP in Africa?
Yes. Send the bill of materials or the network design to ZeroLine Connect. We match every line to an audited factory, test before shipping, consolidate into one container and prepare the certificate for your country.
Can battery storage replace diesel generators?
Often it can replace most of the running hours. With solar, a storage cabinet typically cuts diesel use by 30–70%, depending on load, sun and how much backup you need. We size it from your load data and generator logs.
Can you build an optical cable plant in Africa?
Yes. We plan the product mix, supply secondary coating, stranding and sheathing lines and the test lab, install them and train your staff, then supply fiber and materials. Recent Chinese-backed cable factories in Egypt were reported at about USD 15–30 million.
